I’m usually too busy to make garden art during the summer. The dead of winter, however, is a great time to look ahead and fashion some artwork for the yard.
This past weekend I dug around through the pile of scrap wood in the barn and put together and painted this travel sign. It’s nothing more than leftover clapboards from my husband’s recent house repair project that I nailed to a 1 x 4. The clapboards already had their pointed ends so no cutting was involved. They are very lightweight which makes the sign easy to deal with despite its bulky size.
