Northeast Ohio Rocks!

rocks 003The painted rock craze has come to Northeast Ohio. Painters are hiding their rock creations along walking trails, on beaches, in parks and parking lots.  Hunters, or perhaps just a casual passerby, are finding them at libraries, banks, doctors offices, inside flower boxes, on the edge of picnic tables— anyplace you go you might stumble upon a painted surprise. A label on the back of the rock directs the finder to post a photo of their find on the “Northeast Ohio Rocks” Facebook page and to then re-hide the rock for someone else to find. To date, 180,000 people have joined the Facebook group. My first batch of hide and seek rocks have been painted. The larger ones will be placed in my garden (I have been painting garden rocks for years). The rest will be hidden for you to find. Happy hunting!
